WHAT IS IT?
Super 8 is real motion picture film and the same format families used for home movies throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It has a softness and texture that digital video simply can’t replicate. Each roll of film captures roughly three minutes of footage and records video only, not audio. Because of this, every moment is filmed with intention rather than excess. The gentle grain, the flicker of light, and the slightly imperfect movement all come together to create something that feels less like a production and more like a memory.
THE PROCESS
Super 8 is filmed on real film stock, not digital cameras, and each roll has a limited amount of time- meaning every moment is chosen intentionally. Because of this process, every wedding includes the cost of film stock, professional development, and scanning before editing even begins. After your wedding, the film is sent to a professional lab to be developed and scanned, then carefully edited together into your final highlight film. Each package includes filming on authentic Super 8 film, professional lab processing, and a beautifully edited film delivered digitally- resulting in a real piece of film history that tells your story.
